Health and safety

We take health and safety seriously.

We carry out a full risk assessment for all commercial work, and have a standard risk assessment for domestic gardening that is regularly updated.

We wear appropriate protective clothing, including, as needed: safety helmets, hearing and eye protection, gloves, boots, and high visibility clothing.

Insurance

We are fully insured.

Safety Wear

Working with chainsaws

Chainsaws are potentially dangerous machines. They can cause fatal or major injuries if not used correctly. Jay has CS30 and CS31 training and certificates. Chainsaw work is only carried out by staff who have received adequate training and are competent in using a chainsaw.

Working with pesticides

The term pesticide is a generic one. It refers to any product that is used to control pests, including herbicides. In the UK, anyone using a professional pesticide must either have a recognised specified certificate or be working under the direct supervision of someone who has. Jay has obtained Level 2 Award in Safe Application of Pesticides Using Pedestrian Hand Held Equipment (PA6).
